All district governors in Phnom Penh should focus more on their daily work: PM

Phnom Penh: Prime Minister Hun Sen has ordered all district governors in Phnom Penh not to take part in his public gatherings and should focus more on their daily works to deal with all issues.

Speaking at a graduation ceremony in Phnom Penh on Monday, Mr Hun Sen said that it’s not compulsory for all district governors in Phnom Penh to participate in a get-together with students or garment workers.

“Why do I see so many district governors here? From now on, you don’t need to come. How can you all solve issues if you are sitting here?” he said. “There are a lot of work for each district, please go and solve problems for people in your districts.”

Mr Hun Sen noted that the City Hall on Monday held its annual congress, which requires all Phnom Penh authorities to take part and share their inputs.

Mr Hun Sen also asked his event organizers not to invite so many officials to take part in his next          get-together.
